What is Social Anxiety?

This list above is just a small list of very common situations where feelings of fear, sweating, trembling or difficulty speaking, will create significant emotional distress.

Since social anxiety is in the category of “cognitive behavior”, much study has been done in both understanding and treating social anxiety disorder.   A very effective method of treating and coping with social anxiety disorder is “cognitive-behavioral therapy”.  This very effective method, uses research and clinical evidence to address this disorder and have resulted in permanent positive changes in the lives of many people with this disorder.  A good therapy program will provide all the necessary strategies, including motivation and practice, to work on and begin to accept emotional realities and perceptions.

In reality, Picamilon is necessary because GABA supplements are incapable of traveling to the brain if ingested orally.  Picamilon’s importance is its mechanism of action, that is, it has the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and then hydrolyzed into GABA and niacin.  The released GABA in turn would activate GABA receptors producing an anxiolytic response, that is, an anti-panic or anti-anxiety response.  The second released component, niacin, is a vasodilator, which refers to the widening of the blood vessels. As a result it keeps the body running normally.

In conclusion, Picamilon continues to be a safe ingredient. It has positive action on the cerebral circulation, and also exhibits the properties of a tranquilizer with a stimulating component.  Unlike tranquilizer drugs, Picamilon does not induce muscle relaxation, drowsiness or lethargy.
